Cookies & Local Storage

Digestia uses cookies and similar technologies mainly for authentication, security, preferences and service operation. We currently do not use advertising pixels or third-party analytics for behavioural marketing.

Current product analytics are first-party and deliberately exclude health-content fields.

1. Necessary technologies

We may use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage and session identifiers to maintain login, language preferences, security, payment-flow continuity and the app experience. Without some of these technologies, essential parts of the service may not work.

2. First-party Product Discovery

We use a pseudonymous technical identifier and first-party events to understand the product funnel. These events are sent to Digestia’s backend and do not include medication, dose, symptom, weight or free-text health content.

3. Payments

When you open the hosted payment checkout, that environment may use technologies strictly necessary for security, fraud prevention and transaction completion under the payment provider’s own notice.

4. No behavioural advertising

Digestia has not enabled Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or equivalent behavioural-advertising technologies in the current product. If we later add non-essential technology that requires consent, it will not be enabled before a valid user choice.

5. How to control storage

You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser. Doing so may sign you out, erase local preferences or prevent parts of the app from working. Additional controls will be provided if we introduce non-essential technologies that rely on consent.

6. Health data

Diary health data is not stored in analytics cookies. Some convenience values may be stored locally on your device by specific features, while the main history remains tied to the authenticated account and protected by service access controls.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated if the technologies used by the product change. Changes that require a new consent choice will be presented before the corresponding technology is enabled.
